Do you watch every cent you spend each day ?

I worry about my job hence I can't spend money on gear.

A smart business does that no matter what.

I've gotten a few bargains from people who thought making the house payment was more important than keeping some of the good gear.

The Recession hasn't affected my Photography, but I look back on my days of using 35mm & wonder how I afforded it! With Film at £2.50 & £4 for D&P it was £6.50 every 36 Shots. I often used to get through several Rolls a week, sometimes several Rolls in a Day.

In the "Film Days" Used Cameras didn't devalue anywhere near how Digital Cameras do. An EOS1 was just a "Pipe dream" for me back then, but now in the Digital Age I own an EOS1D Classic & it cost me less than I paid for either my EOS100(Elan) or EOS10 back in 1992!

yeah, I used to sell a lens if I was going to buy an upgrade, now I am more likely to hold onto it and look long and hard for the best price on the upgrade. locally the market has slowed a little and values are dropping some, but not enough to make a huge difference overall I think.
It was definitely more fun two years ago when you could sell a lens on c-list during the week and find the one you were after during the weekend. There are not so many buyers now and if you see a lens you are interested in it can be hard deciding if it is best to snatch it up before someone else does or wait for a better price.
honestly, my biggest change from 2 years ago is that I am much more concerned about theft.
