Not long ago I couldn't buy a Junco shot. Now I'm up to my... eyeballs in Junco's! This one is so much lighter and "colored" than some of the other ones I captured today. And I have no idea what's in its' beak, but it pulled it up out of the log it was perched on.

That's an excellent shot Dave. Exquisite. The Juncos should be leaving soon.

Good shooting, Dave. It's a tough bird to get shots of but you got a beauty. Well done.

I just noticed that the EXIF file is not attached to this image. I process everything the same way and lately I've noticed that some images "lose" the EXIF. Hmmm.

Thanks Harvey. Its been a tough bird for me to get a good shot of for months. And then today, it seemed like they were the only birds around!

Excellent shot Dave, I have a yard full of them and they run around like mice. No way to get a shot while they are on the ground feeding. Sometimes they will land on a branch above my feeder, but then they still move all around. Nice work!

Specifics for the image; 50D, tripod, ISO 200, SS 1/1000, Aperture f6.7. All in manual mode. Now I have to figure out why the EXIF Data is always making it through processing.

Thank you Sharon. We seem to have a lot of them now. But I suspect they will be heading out very soon.

They do seem to run around like mice. That's a great analogy! I've been fortunate enough recently to have them perch for a few seconds. Thanks for your kind comments Steve.

Very nice. It's different cause it's a female. They are a bit lighter. They are also a species of sparrow. :)
