I was just trying to shoot in M, and the wheel wont' change the aperture. (And yes, I have the on switch turned all the way up.) The shutter dial works, but the aperture wheel doesn't do anything.

Could I have pushed some button that disengages this? What should I look for to fix it? Manual worked yesterday...

Help!

Doh!... Nevermind. I changed a custom function yesterday to allow me to move my autofocus point by using the wheel. And apparently using the wheel for any custom function disengages it from being used for normal stuff...? Is that true? If so, that sucks.

So now, does anyone know how I can change focus points on the fly while still being able to change apreture in M?

I always put the AF point selection on the joystick and use the big wheel for aperture.

yep - set for "multiselect direct" or something like that for AF point selection. You can then use the little joystick to change AF points by just tapping the joystick in a directon (including down to select the center point)
