I am not a pro, but I can try to help a little.

I like the idea of this shot first of all.

I think on the man to the left (the father?) you needed a reflector to the left. There is no detail which is not so good for that shot. Also a hair light would be nice. Also, he looks pissed lol.

The space between the father and the first boy needs to be filled in with black to match the rest of the frame. It has a lot of noise also (don't know if maybe it is an older picture). His eyes looked closed also, but I know he was looking down at something.

The second boy looks very good with the exception of his ear (something going on there on the right).

The last boy suffers from noise also (may also be an older picture), and needs a little black fill around his head to match everything else. I would also lower it a little in the frame as it looks a little out of place way up there.

As for how to do a B&W with one light, I would say it would be the same as doing a color image...You need to get it right before you convert it. I think with a reflector, or moving your light around to camera a little more, it would not be an issue for you (by looking at the picture of the second boy which I like).

This is just what I would like in this picture, but by no means is it the best (or right) way as that is in the eye of the person making it.

Interesting idea. Is it all the same person, just different photos of the same person from years appart composited together?

Cool idea!

Thx for the feedback pprice. I've reworked the image based on your feedback.

BTW: The image intent is to convey sadness as he's looking back on the past. Wondering where the joy and happiness have gone. (Same person ChasWG.)

As always, your feedback is welcomed.

Ohhhhh, I get it now...Very cool idea! I like the main picture to the left MUCH better!! Now he looks like he is thinking back, and not so mad lol. I am still unsure about how all the pictures are framed though. I really do not know how to tell you how I would think it would look better, it would be one of those things I would just have to play with in PS.
I am looking at it trying how to figure out the best way to place all the photos where you can get your message across better.
I really with I could help you more as I really like the idea alot!

If you post each picture, and let me or others play with them, it might give you some ideas, and it would be fun for me :-)

In the end, it is your image though, and your great idea, so that is all that really matters :-)
