PROBLEMS? PROBLEMS? -- HUH?-- Go over to the bird photo sharing thread and look at my first few shots -- Great camera -- I learned how to use a digital DSLR after buying a new 40d -- after a XT -- with which I was lazy. I knew my wife of 41 years would say -- "thats all you can get after spending "X" number of more dollars" on a "nother" new "body" . Take the time to learn folks -- either before or after you buy the 7D! you will love it -- it has exceeded my expectations !!
End this dumb thread already !!

The 7D is my first DSLR. I've owned several film SLRs. I own two digital point and shoots. I've spent a lot of time with the camera on my desk with the manual open next to it.

I haven't pulled out the old Sekonic meter and set the 7D to "M" yet, but I'm sure I will soon.

I never had EVERY shot on a roll of film be exactly what I want it to be. I think it would be unreasonable to expect everything I shoot with the 7D to be perfect. It is understandable for people to be frustrated with a camera they just spent a load of money on when it doesn't do what they want it to do, but they must understand every camera has limitations.

I always thought trying to get something to work even after you've failed a few times was part of the fun of photography. Now we just don't have to wait as long for the results. I've gotten a lot of good info just lurking around these forums the last few days, but even more from the manual.

On the upslope of the photographic learning curve for almost twenty years.
