Glass Beach CA

This beach is located in Fort Bragg CA. In 1949 this became the city dump, which lasted for almost 20 years:rolleyes:

I grew up in Fort Bragg so I have 100's of your typical beach shots. On this day I took the macro to see what I could come up with.

There are many pieces of trash, mostly metal, that are embedded into the rock formations.

The first two are great. The rest, eh, not so much for me. Either of those first two would be excellent screen backgrounds. Of course I have jars of sea glass so they have an instant appeal to me!

I like #1 the best as it's an interesting composition and colors. Plus it brings back lots of memories as a kid walking the beaches in NH while on vacation looking for broken glass that had been smoothed by the waves and sand. We always thought the came from bottles used by lobster fishermen as toggles for their traps that got broken.
