I hope I'm not breaching any posting rules, but I thought the aircraft nuts here would appreciate this gallery of shots. It's on one of our local newspaper websites, and it's of a Qantas A380 being flown in formation with the RAAF Roullettes over the Formula 1 Grand Prix yesterday (28/3/10).

Some excellent shots by the Defence Force photographer.

I got a couple when I saw it whilst on my way somewhere. By the time I stopped and got my camera out it was a bit late ... and it was really overcast and crappy so they didn't turn out so well.
It is a huge plane ... very spectacular.

I am waiting for the barrel roll or Immelman turn

The only one I really like is #7, the down-shot over the bay. Although I can't really say that I can't think of a great way to shoot them off the top of my head. Thanks for throwing up the link!

Those are nice shots.
We had the Airbus house bird in here earlier this year for testing prior to SQ starting service yesterday. When it flew down to Geneva, there were some photo ops with some of the Swiss F-18s.

It's OK to post a link, but the thread should be in T Talk as you aren't sharing your own images.

They have great shots, except for the crappy prop blur! :D
I wonder what they used to get the looking straight down shot.

I know they had a helicopter or two following. I'm assuming all these shots are from those. I really like the straight down shots as well.

No heli, there was a 7th Roulette flying with the formation, when i saw it over the track i thought it might have a photographer in it.
