From the Bethoven's Last Night Tour. Excellent show. I only got a few pictures before security (wrongly) stopped me. I did not argue with them, I just sat back and enjoyed the show.

Taken with a canon point n shoot, forgive the quality.
The entire gallery is at my website TowPathPhoto (external link)

I was at the concert Sat. night, the guy in front of me said he was a photog. and the usher told him absolutely no photos aloud, none, zero.... He left came back and took plenty of photos.
Over all a good show.

That might have even been me. I behaved once they told me to stop. I thought it was the right thing to do. The band has never had a problem with it, and at times have encouraged it. The security is used to dealing with plays and those kinds of events, which are of course absolutely no photography. I can see how it would be hard for them to keep up with the different rules for the different shows.

I believe that the first duty of a photographer (amateur) is to be at the place or the event, and the photos are secondary. Honestly, taking the pics was causing me to miss the show, and I am kinda glad the way it worked out. I got to get some pics, but also got to enjoy most of the show.

I only have the 40D and did not want to carry that heavy thing only to be told no pics so I did not bring it. The laser lights would have been great to capture.

They stopped me just as the lasers started.

I actually picked the camera I did for its low light performance, because of my annual TSO photos. It did o.k. Focus locked on really easily, and it has settings that allowed for center/spot metering which helped a lot.
