Chimera specializes in lighting modifiers, and makes monster softboxes used in automotive photography, makes softboxes for the motion picture industry, and many other specialized lighting products.

Yes, you can get good lighting from Buff and other economic suppliers, but it is presumptuous to think that a low priced vendor would equal the specialist products in all regards. A bit like thinking that Alien Bees are the equal to Broncolor.
