Well finally managed to get a Moon Mosiac done when the clouds let me.

Imaged on ED120 900mm F7.5 with a 3x Televue Powermate Barlows giving around 2700mm Focal length and around F23.

Done with QHY5 mono camera (CMOS)

About 60 panes here with over 65GB of avi's captured and processed.

Didn't quite get the dark parts sorted, but lessons learnt.

I don't do many "that's nice" or "wow" comments because I get bored reading them. But for this, I can't help myself - That's just great.
Not only from the technical and aesthetic aspects, but I know that if it was me, I would discover one frame in the middle that got missed for some reason.
A new standard has been set. Well done.

Steve.

Very impressive, Catanonia. Did you by chance use EQMOSAIC to position the mount, or did you do it manually?

Don

Modded EQMosaic (changed the code myself) to allow a grid of 360 :)

Very cool. You've convinced me to try it.

Any pointers for focusing at such a long focal length? Did you focus on a star or on the moon surface?
