I liked the little humble moon pic I took with my 300mm.
But now that I've compared it to this...
I MUST TRY HARDER. :D

QUOTED IMAGE

If you can, try with a telescope optic, a dedicated astronomy based one. You'll find that the optics are noticeably better with regards to contrast. Also, try a different phase of the moon. The more the moon gets to full, the flatter the image looks. Try when it's a crescent phase - plenty of contrast and detail to be captured.
