More than I have ever come close to using on any 1 day.

Somewhere around 60 gig, I think.

Bohdan - I may be, and probably am, completely wrong.

Since posting, I've accrued another 32GB in speedy cards, so that brings me up to 82GB :D

40D...

two 2GB cards and two 4GB cards (12 GB total)

5D Mark Ii...

three 8GB cards (24 GB total)

Epson P-3000 to back up all images if needed on longer trips.

I prefer more numerous smaller cards. Nothing good comes from putting all your eggs in one basket.

1 x 16GB Sandisk Extreme
3 x 8GB Sandisk Extreme

I usually use two of the 8GB for my 50D and the 8GB + 16GB for my 5DII

16GB works well for me, spread across 2 8GB CF cards.
I also have several 2GB SD cards used in conjunction with a SDHC-CF converter,
which came from using my former PowerShot camera.

It's a motley accumulation, but all cards(and the adapter) work very well.

Started out with 24GB, found out on vacation that wasn't enough. Now I have 40GB.

I used 4 2GB cards (up from 2) on my 400D - with my 5D MK II I got 3 8GB cards of which I have yet to recieve 2 as they were on backorder...

But it'll be 24GB on 3 8GB cards for the MK II.

(And just a comment - because I saw people comment about vacations - laptop + WD passport drive with 500GB :))
