It would be great for landscapes, but not sure how it would be for sports/skiing? Canon EOS 1Ds Mark III | 17-40mm f/4.0L | 70-200mm f/2.8L USM | 100mm f/2.8L IS Macro | 300mm f/4.0L IS

But the general definition is that anything wider than 35mm (effective) is wide, so all of these fall into an acceptable range. Mike - "EXIF stripping is bad, mmmkay?"

I use that combination when the 35L isn't wide enough. On a 1.3 body the 17-40 works out to be a 22-52 which should be fine under most conditions. 1DX MK II, 5D MKIV x2, 24L II, 35L II, 50L, 85LIS, 100LIS Macro, 135L, 16-35LIS, 24-105LIS II, 70-200LIS, 100-400LIS II

The modification is sooo easy, I can't understand why people are so reluctant or "SCARED" to even consider this lens. What's the modification - mounting it on a 7D? 1DX MK II, 5D MKIV x2, 24L II, 35L II, 50L, 85LIS, 100LIS Macro, 135L, 16-35LIS, 24-105LIS II, 70-200LIS, 100-400LIS II
