Anyone heard any updates? Where is it already? I'm waiting with baited breath over here.

I would be too if I didn't love my Tokina 11-16 f/2.8 so much.

That thing is a stack of primes. :)

I loved my 11-16 too. I can't wait to hear the announcement for their 16-28 FF lens. There are too many options to go wider than 24 on full frame....most of them are bad.

I heard it's a 1.4 not a 1.2 but I might be wrong there. The 14mm should be interesting....

The 35mm/1.2 for canon thing was only a rumour: http://photorumors.com …eleasing-new-fast-lenses/ (external link)

A 35mm/1.4 is confirmed for second half of 2010: http://www.lenstip.com/index.php?art=122 (external link)

And the 14mm will be available at the end of April.

According to the announcement/reports the EF's larger
mount throat is gonna make it possible for the EF version to be a f/1.2 while othermounts will be limited to f/1.4

considering the 8mm fisheyes from Samyang are closer in framing to 10mm this f/1.2 claim may be an exageration... but even if its a 35/1.4 it will be very exciting.

Source please?

The only article mentioning 1.2 that I've found is the photorumors.com one (or articles using it as source)

There has been no announcement for the 35mm, only an interview of Samyang's sales director. Could you please clarify?

given the IQ of the 14mm f/2.8's test shots I've now seen, I'd say its fairly safe to say that the IQ is not "arguably the same quality" its BETTER. The shots rival the 14L in terms of sharpness edge-to-edge and resolving power is incredible.
