Most third party battery grips that I have seen have not been a pure 100% fit to the camera body. It kinda fit good but that will do. What do you expect when you compare the original Canon vs a copy? Also, material composition aren't exactly identical. So there is a compromise of paying more for the real McCoy or paying less for a reasonable copy. It's your decision, your acceptance of the build quality of a copy. "Love life and life will love you back. Love people and they will love you back." Arthur Rubinstein.

Power indicater shows full all the time but thats an easy work around.EBay seller jiakgong is where I get alot of things and they have what you need for $45 without the adjustment wheel or $55 with the wheel and an IR controller. The plastic body has a little bit of a grain to it which pretty much matches the non slip grain in the camera body. thanks! http://somephotosmiami.com

Conversely, you don't need a grip to have two batteries. But you should have two (at least) batteries so you don't run out of charge in mid-session. Jon
