My D60 has experienced hanging. Regardless on and off the switch and also removing the camera to inspect the contact, which is cleaned, the camera still hangs until I brought it home and leave it for 10 mins and next thing it regain its operation.

Is it just with one particular lens? Try it with another. I experienced this same problem and it turned out it was a faulty sigma lens, which was replaced and I experienced no problems after that.

Caught the problem! The problem only occurs intermittently when battery grip attached to the camera. I had tried cleaning the lens contact, try mounting different lens and the problem still persisted.

* NOTE: REMEMBER TO REMOVE ALL YOUR BATTERIES FIRST

You have to remove the screws, which position the 11 contact pins and clean the contact surface on the circuit board.

You can see how dirty it is.......

Hopes this help for the rest
