I work with Zookbinders for my albums. They introduced soft-cover press books this past year at fairly modest prices. Originally, I decided not to offer them as I felt them may just cannibalize sales of their much nicer but still modestly priced hardcover press book which I'd much rather sell.

They've started advertising "value packs" for theses books. For instance, for $X (and I'm surprised by how low X is), you can get 6 6x6 books (all identical) or a dozen 4x4 books. Now I'm asking myself if maybe I'm missing an opportunity. I guess I don't really know because I'm not sure what someone would do with a dozen 4x4 books that are all the same. Give them all to the wedding party? Is anyone selling somethng like this and how do you position the opportunity with your clients?

Thanks.

As this is an open forum, I hesitate to indicate cost. Let's just say that I can do a dozen 4x4 softcovers for about the price of one hardcover 4x4. The price isn't the issue, though; why would a couple want something like this; what's the marketable value? And is there already an interest out there?
