Tests of various readers with various cards. good database.

It's a shame that the PC they use for ExpressCard testing is so feeble (Intel Core 2 Duo 1.66GHz, 2GB RAM, 200GB 7200 RPM hard drive) - especially compared to Mac they use for the same tests (Intel Core 2 Duo 3.06GHz, 8GB RAM, 640GB RAID 0 hard drive array). I can't help but think that it must bias the results somewhat. My laptop (Quad Core 2.8 GHz, 4GB RAM, 160 GB SSD) is way faster than theirs with the Lexar ExpressCard and Sandisk cards.

I guess when you've spent all your $$$ on cards and card readers, especially on a private investigation of CF cards, something inevitably must suffer. Agreed.

The only thing I think that may bias the results is the disk system. Not sure how RAM or cpu affects transferring of data in any material manner, as long as the cpu is capable. The only thing here is the RAID 0 array. So if your specs are similar to the Mac, I would go ahead and compare it to that.
