I just picked up a 24-70L and I also have a 24-105L. I'm planning on selling the 24-105, but now i'm having second thoughts. Would any of you keep both lenses and use the 24-105 as an everyday walk around lens, or should I just sell it?

Thanks.

Meh sell it.. I don't see the need to have $800 slapped onto 70-105mm unless you're talking about a 85L ;)

Depends. If you like to keep the 24-105 around for lowlight IS stuff, or you'd prefer the money.

Speaking of redundancy, do you plan to do with your 28-75?;):)

I have both. The 24-105 gets the outdoors work (I love the weight and IQ) and the 24-70 is used more indoors. They are both great lenses.

There is much redundancy in your lenses in general. I'd trade your 24-105 for something different, probably a 135L or a 70-200, depending of course on what you shoot.

I have both lenses. I would keep it. The 24-105L is a great vacation lens. It has IS which the 24-70L doesn't. And it's lighter to carry around.

Is it a 70-200 F4IS? I would be interested plus cash from my end. :)

I'd get rid of the 24-105. You'll probably begin favoring one over the other and find it jst sitting around. While they are both great lens and have 2 clearly distinct abilities, if you like the 24-70, the 105 will just collect dust... and that would be a shame!

Thanks for the comments. I'm going to sell it and get a 70-200 F4IS.
