Another rainy day here in sunny California. Thought I would start a thread on "posterizing" a photo or two.

To get things started:

IMAGE NOT FOUND
HTTP response: NOT FOUND | MIME changed to 'image/gif' | Redirected to error image by FLICKR

Let the posterizing begin...

I don't get it. You mean make and post images that look like those horrible posters that people put up in their work places that are suppose to inspire you to be a better employee?

If so, no thanks...

Also, you know you can link your images directly to you post. Having to click on a link to see images is really annoying and bothersome. You have a Flickr account so all you have to do is get the properties for the larger size image and then fill in that info in the spot after you click on the "Insert Image" icon at the top of the Post reply or the inicial Thread post like this.

I choose this one because of the three this one is the most interesting and least annoying. I really don't think good images need to have words postered to them to be explained. Good images stand on their own. Sorry to be harsh, but I really hate those posters... I also don't like working in the corporate world either. I'm a free lancer for a reason...

Hurray for you. But, not everybody shares your viewpoints, so let the person post whatever he wants to post. If you have a problem with it, nobody said you HAD to look at them.

Sorry to be harsh, but...

Looks like the thread police are out in force today. Everyone's entitled to have and post their opinion...this is a forum, after all. At least ChasWG commented on the OP's actual post...

OP, I must admit I was a bit confused by your thread title. My first thought was, "why would I want to add even more banding to my images?" ;) Like ChasWG, I too have no love for those inspirational posters, but hey, nice job nonetheless.

The real irony is that Chas's attempt to be helpful probably breaks the posting rules so it'll probably get converted back to a link anyways.

Shouldn't that read "Quiet" and not "Quite"?

Nice Kasuga, btw!

You know, Like you I have opinions too. I never said "don't post those." Did I? You just jumped the gun and down my throat. I don't care if you are harsh, trash me if you want, but I still stand by what I said. I hate those posters. It's a forum for posting images and ideas.

Get over yourself!

As for the music one, I'd love to see just the instuments, it looks nicely lit! I think the added music notes and words distract from the image.
