I've been spending a unbelievable amount of time lately revamping my business. I've got all new professional equipment(loving the 5D Mark II and my 2 L lens additions), have signed up for 3 new professional labs and have been ordering samples to see how I want to use them. I've re-done all my pricing, designed new price sheets, and have re-done my first contact letters and information for clients about shoots. On top of that I shot my first wedding (external link) and have been designing and redesigning a post wedding announcement. All this while dealing with a demanding 4 month old (external link) who makes me do most of my real work after 8:30pm and lose sleep night after night.

So anyway I'm taking a day to just photo document my life. Back the way things were before I started this photography business. I started earlier today obviously and it's been refreshing. I'll be taking a photo an hour and posting it too my blog every couple of hours. Check it out:

All the best Shannon!

Juggling a full-time lifelong career (aka motherhood) alongside a business is challenging!

Good on you for taking the effort to upheave and change your business. It is certainly no small task!

That is tough! But kudos to you for doing all of that along with a demanding young baby. You'll be unstoppable when he/she heads to school.

So I had an absolute great day taking a bunch of pictures. I familiarized my self quite well with my new equipment, had a great time with my family and went out on a limb and asked strangers if I could take their pictures. I would highly recommend a photo journal day off to anyone getting overwhelmed with their business.
