Upset with my 50L

Seriously... I should never have bought this thing After getting to play with f1.4 on the 50 now all of the other 2.8L lenses just wont cut it anymore. Now I am going to have to sell the 16-35II and buy a 24l and a 35l sell the 70-200 and get an 85 and a 135. My life is ruined.

Wow I'm scared to get my first prime. It should be coming in next week pending when I can get the courage to press the buy button. lol

I just tried the 50L yesterday, very interesting lens

i dont have a single prime L lens and about a week ago i found myself facing the same dilemma. should i go primes or zooms?

at this point i got 50 1.4, 85 1.8, 100 2.8 macro, and i'm thinking of selling my 70-200 F4L IS and getting the 135 L
oh and i ordered the 24-70L as my walkaround lens. but seriously, nothing beats the prime quality, let alone the L primes

I have a lot to learn with this lens but considering how dark it was and my first time ever using this lens I am happy with it. we will see I will play with it more tomorrow.

I know what you mean. The primes just have something special about the images they capture. Although, I would keep the 16-35L - the unique perspective on the 16mm is really nice. As you can see, I have the 35L, 50L, 85L and they are all amazing in their own way. Good luck!

You are correct, I dont think I could ever get back the versatility of the 16-35

I love my primes but would never sell my L zooms. The versatility is unbeatable. With that said, I want to sell my 70-200 and get a 135L!

Maybe I'm weird, I love my zooms even after using my primes... strange...

I love my zooms too and they'll definitely NOT be sold to fund more primes.

I hear ya, I'm the same. I did the opposite of bsaber and sold my 135L (to a POTN member) to fund my 70-200 f/2.8L.

I just sold my 100L to fund the new 70-200.

I think the same thing. My aunt lets me borrow her 24L and I've shot with the 50L enough to want it.

I'd love to have 24L, 50L, 85L, 135L in addition to my 24-70 and 70-200. I don't think I'll be able to get that kinda kit anytime soon.
