there is a thread in the Body section discussing a failing Lexar. "What happened to my pictures"

in reality, all cards do and will fail at some point. I only trust Sandisk.

Yes, I bought the Transcend 600X Cf 16G two weeks a go. Was ok until this morning, I took a couple of pictures and turned the camera off. A few minutes later, I saw another object and turned the camera back on - got an error " Format card " . I knew I have a few shots already and was horrified ! I turned the camera off again, removed the CF and re-inserted it and it was ok after that. I am not sure if the card was not properly seated or if this is the begining of an erratic behaviour of failure. I've used other Transcend memory cards before without any problems. This one worries me though.

Dang... scary. Makes me think whether I should pay double for a Lexar 600x for the same capacity.

I've used nothing but Lexar Pro for my entire DSLR career (6 years now). No issues. Had an issue with a Sandisk SD card once, but that was it.

If you must know...
