Apr 01, 2010 21:54 | #3 Thanks for the comments Suzy. Hehe, I kinda cheated a little on the first pic (I PSd 'more' movement blur). I see what you are saying about the picture.. I'll have to redo that and clean up the trees better. New Jersey, New York and Philadelphia Wedding and Portrait Photographer|..capturing a moment one shot at a time.

Well besides the b/ws. Ohh and that tree in the foreground in #4 is distracting. Not much of a fan of tilt, although it works well in #7. Other than that looking good.

For a first session you should be so pleased. Thanks for the comments. I'll try and PP the twig out. dche5390 wrote in post #9919011 I'm going to be brutal here. The WB differs so much in this set that it's hard on the eyes. I'm not a big fan of slanted angles unless it is done with purpose. #5 stands out to me as the best of the pick in terms of composition, PP and captured emotion for an E-session. The rocks in #3 really are distracting. The couple do not stand out from the busy wall and trees in #2. And with #4, the tree thing on the left hand side should be cropped out. Plus you haven't really placed the couple among the cherry blossoms. Their expressions are not flattering either. I like the idea behind #8 but that handrail is giving me the ****s. It just barely clears the guy's head! With #6, my focus is drawn towards the OOF light, then onto the red fire hydrant thing. The couple don't fit into the composition at all. The posts of the awning, the railing, the OOF light, the red fire hydrant - all these are way too busy. Overall, my critique is on composition. Thank you for your honest feedback. I am here to learn and grow as a photographer; and these will really help me going forward. The WB is due to PP, maybe I was playing around with the pictures too much. Next time, I will pick a 'theme' and stick with it. New Jersey, New York and Philadelphia Wedding and Portrait Photographer|..capturing a moment one shot at a time.
