Trying an umbrella

Was trying an umbrella just to see how shoot through vs bounce works and wifey was walking by. I took couple of test shots and liked this one.

I like it...maybe a little too much, her shoulder is blown a little?

It was before I lowered expsoure in LR. Don't see any blown out on histogram or my monitor.

I think you're right. I was looking at it on a different monitor and on the one I'm using right now it's not blown.

It's not blown out on my MacBook, I think this looks really good. I'm getting my umbrella today so it will be interesting to see how well they work!

Thanks guys. Even though I use calibrated monitor I always go with the numbers, like histogram in this case. Since umbrella was closer to the shoulder on camera right, it was over exposed so I did lower it in LR through local adjustment. I think I may pick up a little bigger one 40-44" for more than one person shots.
