I have a track record of shooting with Sam (mostly because were great friends..haha) but also because she loves to get her picture taken! I previously did some head shots with Sam indoors during the cold months here in Michigan which if your curious, can find HERE.

Well, i promised Sam once the weather got a bit warmer we would go out for a shoot, so, we did!

I armed myself with a 32" umbrella and a old school Sunpak 333 matched up to my ebay 301P trigger and hit the local park! Some photos use this setup, others have no strobe or reflector (i actually had my stand blow down and brake my flash head).

Here are a few of the photos from today!

I love feedback!

Thanks,

I really like this set.
In the first one, I like how you balanced your ambient and flash exposure beautifully, giving the whole shot some great depth.
The third one is my least favorite, she needs a hair light LOL...yeah, in the middle of a field, I know, Im dreaming.
nice work, Chris

Nice job. I love the feeling of #2 the best. The lighting also looks very well done. Sorry you lost a flash head, that happened to us too. Now I weigh it (THE STAND) down with a dumbell weight and no more worries.

Thanks so much! When it comes to shot 3, my flash had already been broken so that was done now reflectors with just the almost fully setting sun..haha. I too wish it had some more light!

I think number 2 is one of my favs from the whole set at well! Using a dumbell sounds like a very good idea that ill deffntly use on my next outdoor adventure! Thanks!
