7D LCD Display problem

I bought my 7D last December, but in the last few weeks the display has stopped working on three occasions. Can still take photos but nothing on the screen, even by pressing all the function buttons. The screen sprang back to life after 5 mins or so.

On one ocassion, I took out the batteries from the grip and the screen worked when re-inserted.

Has anybody else experienced this?

Serously - asking once is enough, and responses to the suggestions you've already had would be appreciated too, I imagine.
