I have not seen our local pair this year. I am hoping they made through the winter.

Dunnocks are ground feeders so you don't see them higher very often, that's why it's so tricky getting perched shots of the blighters.

Yes that is where my ones tended to be or pecking around the margins of the lawn, only time I saw them on the feeder was during the snow when they must have been desperate.

I just wondered if there was anything to do to encourage them, perhaps just scatter seed, trouble is that brings in mobs of pigeons....
