She was so focused on the tv that it was a great time to get some shots at F/1.2... usually i cant get her to sit still long enough to practice.

I just love how these 2 came out

I like the softness of the lighting and the sepia tone.

Very nice. How far back were you standing to get both eyes in focus at 1.2?

I was about 6 feet away i would guess..

but i must confess that the eye in the first pic is fixed due to it being OOF.

I copied the left (her left) eye and moved it to the right one.. did a lil blending and dropped the opacity and it came out much better. That shallow DOF is something i need to learn more to work with

the 2nd pic wasn't altered except for coloring

Normally, I'm all about the little details and would say, "fix her shoulder straps..." but NO!!! The shoulder strap hanging down and the messy wonderful hair is PERFECT and adorable and is an important part of the photo. love these. Might clone out the hotspot over her shoulder in the second one, and crop it so she isn't quite so dead center in that, but I'm just nit picking I suppose. Love that she has her fingers in her mouth and looking off with that shy grin. Both of those are real keepers. good work.

I can see why you love these.. the light in them is so magical. I'm really drawn to #1 for some reason. :) Really great conversions, and a beautiful little model. :)

Kristy found the perfect word, "magical". My daughter is 3 and I can relate to these moments. Great job. :)
