Found my way to La Jolla Cove to chill at the ocean and decided to stay for the sunset. Stacked a ND8 and ND4 for most of these and also added the ND2 for some. C&C welcome and much appreciated.

Nice shots, I particularly like number 2, it has a lot of drama to it

The second one has the most drama. I like them all. I cant extract any exif, but quite surprised that the first 4 seem to be all less than 1.5 second exposure based on the water, with a 12 stops of ND. In addition, 1,3,4 look under exposed to me. You may be going for the more subdued tone, and certainly it brings out the colors more. However, in my experience, this translate very poorly in print, though that may not be your goal.
hope to see more work from you.
Oh and I also like the last one.

I agree with Kevin. The light in the second image is the best.

Thanks for the comments and pointers all...i will see if can get the Exifs up here but i think most of them are 1 - 2 secs. I need to get a reverse ND so i can expose the foreground properly without blowing the sun in the background.

I agree............... the sky and water are really nice ; the rock jutting into the frame on the left side kills it for me. I love it otherwise..........nice work. Wish I had scenes like that to shoot.

Thanks for the comments all. I've determined i need at least one more weapon for my arsenal for these types of shots. Going to invest into the Cokin holder and some GND filters...that should help calm the sun when its a tad higher in the sky.

#2 and the last one is made for a desktop wallpaper. Nice shots.

Just learning how to use my Canon S90 (external link). I appreciate any tips, advices, or critiques along the way. Thank you all.

All very nice, but #2 is a winner in my book. A great part of the world.
