Canon 2X II Extender

Does anyone know when was it introduced? Thanks

Since the early 1990s Canon has marketed the EF Extenders 1.4x and 2x. In 2000 these were replaced by the current versions, the Extender EF 1.4x II and Extender EF 2x II. They may not have actually started showing up in the marketplace for a few months after the first of that year though.

The current versions were both introduced March 2001 so says the Canon website.

I tried it on canon's website but couldn't find. Anyways now I know it. Thank you guys.
