Your stand for background light.

What do you use? I've considered just clamping the light to my background stand, because a boom stand seems excessive and I don't want to carry around another stand (my setup is portable). So how do you light the background?

Based on your post are you lighting the background from above? What are you using for a background support?

Link? Right now, I'm either using a tripod at it's lowest height or angling a light stand at the background that sits right behind the hair light.

Not bad, but garage sale tripods accomplish the same results. I should have been more specific. I'm looking for something that I can use as a background light that I don't have to use the subject to hide the stand itself. Right now I'm doing mostly children, so a boom stand is easily tipped over and a small tripod is too small to hide behind a child. That's the basic situation I'm looking for a solution for.
