Gday guys and girls and thank you for such an informative site.

I am relatively new to digital photography and have certainly learnt a lot from what I have read on this forum. Thank you to everyone that has shared their knowledge or experience. I hope that one day I can help some of you kind people in return.

My questions relates to purchasing additional equipment for my new 550D. I have read a great deal of information in relation to filters and what to buy etc off this site and a few warnings regarding fakes off Ebay.

I want to purchase a Kenko or Hoya Circular Polarizing Filter for my camera. I have found a stack of them on Ebay which vary a great deal in price, but just about all of them are significantly cheaper than what I can buy here retail in Australia.

When I look at the photos on ebay, there are some filters that look like they are in genuine Kenko or Hoya packaging, but then there are others from other sellers that also claim to be genuine, but in packaging that looks to be substandard. Can anyone lend any advice on what to look out for or what to be careful of?

Are there any good online shops that sell reputable products?

Thanks in advance for all of your help.

Highly recommend DCtrade-uk on ebay, I've bought all my lenses, camera bodies, flashes and filters from them. Everything has been genuine.
