Just our typical garden variety spider.
The wife found her in one of the flower pots outside the front porch.
This one is smaller than the average we find around here, but can still put a good hurt on you.

Karen There are about 5 or 6 varieties of Black Widows, some are solid black which is probably the most common here in the United States. However, you can find some with stripes and some with spots like this one, but as far as I know they all have the red hour glass on the bottom they are notorious for. peregrineflier wrote in post #9934314 They dont bite hard.
