Well, it is a nice spot to be in. I just told my wife that I was not going to buy the 50d on Saturday, then this posts Sunday. Good thing she does not believe a word I say about buying stuff once I set my mind to it.

I just upgraded to the 30D! I will probably buy a 50D when it drops below $500 :)

Man, don't sell that 28-75. I am on my third copy of it. Like a dummy I sold it twice and kept coming back to it. I think this time I will keep it.

I look for a price drop from Adorama and BH after today. Passover ends and they will be back to business. I noticed that Amazon itself offered it yesterday but not today. I suspect they are waiting a day or two to see what price they want to offer.

I hear ya, I was not happy to do it, but I decided to keep the 17-50 for the time being as I need something wider than 28. I will get this again, I already know it I just promised my wife I would not be spending any money to upgrade the camera this year as I just built a new PC.

I get to keep my promise and get the 50d this way.

That's the same reason I sold it last time. To fund the 50D, I just bought it again about 2 months ago.

I don't tell the old lady the details of my transactions. She isn't interested as long as I don't go over what I have budgeted for it.

Well, I can sneak a lens by her, sneaking a new camera would be harder.

I think i would like to get the 28-75 back with a wide angle, then get rid of the 17-50, which I just always thought was too short.
