Hello,

The herring are back. This means spring for us finally. They spawn on the beaches and begin the cycle of salmon and halibut. The birds have been waiting for the easy meals. Today was the first major spawn. The beeches crunch at low tide with eggs and the sea turns white with milt for days.

Eagle shot is great, though the exposure is perfect on the gull as well.
