Went and photographed my first scoccer game. Our home games are played on a crowned field of packed glacial silt. Here are a couple of pictures from Sitka vs Ketchikan. Any ideas or comments are welcomed.

Some nice action shots here...
What was your aperture at? I reckon a little narrower DoF would really help.

Cheers

Our kids are excited to head to Ketchikan and play on the turf as well. This is our first year where we are in conference play. I was impressed how hard the Sitka kids played when they were so over powered. Ketchikan has 3-4 very strong players.

pspwa, I will play more with dof. thanks. It was my first soccer game and I wanted to make sure I stopped the movement. I will play more with dof next time. Thanks for your input.

Bruce

That lens should do f/2.8 or f/3.2 very, very well.

Nice color and excellent action.

Watch your horizons and shoot tight.
