Here are two pictures that I took during a recent trip out of town. My wife and I went for a walk and I snapped these pictures with a popular bridge as the background.

C and C please!

I like the composition in the first shot, and a nice expression, but the light is a bit harsh on her face and the resulting eye shadows hurt the portrait somewhat. some post processing might help those issues. still, nice pic.

ring shot is beautiful and as such a significant symbol of their union, i like those types of shots. once they are on the individual fingers, you rarely get to see the two rings "together" any more, so it is nice to see the rings together like that.

My main comment is about the depth of field chosen, especially in the second shot. It IS beautiful bokeh, but would it have served the shots better to have the bridge be a bit more IN focus? I recall a bridge like that in Limmerick, Ireland, and in many other European cities, and so I know what it is, but would the photos have been better served to have it a bit more obvious? I suspect you merely wanted to separate her from the background, but it is a NICE background. (bridge line is crooked in the first shot though) Matter of personal choice, I guess. With the ring shot, I definitely would have increased the depth of focus, not much, but enough to allow the curves of the bridge to be a bit more prominent, as they compliment the curves of the rings.
Having said those things, giving you some food for thought, I think you did a terrific job really.

These are gorgeous! I really like the composition in both shots.

When I say "beautiful boken", I'm misspeaking technically. Depth of field is more accurate.
