Im going to be shooting my first official photo shoot for a client looking to build a model portfolio. The problem is she's only available from 12-4 pm. Around here in Virginia at this time of the year, the light can be pretty harsh with sometimes dull skies, so Im already thinking some of my pictures are going to be a tad bit underexposed to prevent blown highlights from background.
Is there any useful setting I should use for this type of conditions? im always using Manual and I plan on bringing a 40 inch reflector and a 580ex II.
Would a lightmeter be useful in this situation?
