Hi all, with the start of the new season I was itching to give my 100-400 its first go at circuit motorsports. I'm only 50 miles from Thruxton and the weather forecast was good, so I popped over to have a look. I enjoyed it very much and was very pleased with some of the shots I managed.

In the first race I was at the complex. Mat Jackson ran Tom Onslow-Cole off the track and as he came back on he caught poor Andrew Jordan and sent him flying:

For the second race I was up near the chicane. I was amused by the "march of the dolly birds", who came out to mark the drivers' starting grid positions:

At the chicane in that second race Jason Plato and Matt Neal aimed for the same spot of tarmac:

In the third race I was back at the complex, where I saw Matt Hamilton take a little too much kerb on a couple of laps:

Cracking shots, although I hate you now because I want a 100-400 even more

The shots of Jordan are especially good.
