lol... the crotch area of the jeans look more in focus than the face

the photos were shot with a 24-70 2.8 L @ 24mm (f/22, 1/250, iso 100) and the focus point is probably on the face. *scratching head*

i wonder if flickr degraded the photo quality?

if flickr did it, it would be that way throughout the whole photo... i would think. it looks like it could just be compression around the face. The light on the jeans also helps it to look more in focus. There is more light on the jeans than the face. Also, maybe the lens needs micro adjusting...? or, it could very well be my eyes too.

I was thinking it's because of aperture? No? ???

just saw this... f/22... well... my guess is it's just web compression then. possibly just illusion because of the light on her pants as well. or my eyes. my guess is that at f/22 the girl is completely in focus.

Very good looking photos. One tip you might want to look at is the where the light is hitting the subject. Looks like the light is hitting the subject in the mid section. Her pants seem to be more evenly lit then her face on the last 2.

A Modifier couldve help spread the light or maybe if you zoom out on the flash so that it hits more of the subject.
