This is the first of a series of artists that graced the stage for an intimate evening supporting World Hunger Year (Now rebranded WHY Hunger) WHY was founded by artist Harry Chapin and is instrumental in address hunger issues all over the world. This evening of fund raising was called An Evening of WHY's Guys and you will see why in upcoming galleries.

Lisa Bouchelle is one of those artists that surprised me as soon as she opened her mouth. In a loud room of talkers she started her set with an accapella version of The Beatles' Blackbird. By mid song her powerful voice silenced that crowd in appreciative awe. Don't let her looks fool you, this woman has serious talent. I'm sure I will shoot her again both on and off stage.

As always, comments and critique are appreciated.

Nice set My favorites are 1 and 5

#1 is a great B&W and is beautifully composed.

#5 I really like how you captured her raw emotion here. The composition is really nice here as well, lots of great leading lines.

#1 is awesome...great b&w. Also, I love how I'm drawn to her eyes in #7. Great set.

Thank you, Crimzon, butterfly2937 and DW_DIGI-QUEST. I appreciate the compliments. The B & W conversion was something that I just did yesterday as I was preparing these files. It was in color and was a fine looking shot as is but something told me to try a conversion and I am very happy with the result. It seems that others are as well.

I did say accapella for the first song, didn't I? ;) Because of the other acts coming on, Lisa was only able to do 4 songs.

Thanks, Tim.

Too bad there isn't more atmosphere ... she looks great ... and I love a capella as it really allows you to listen.

I would like to see her in a band setting which would allow her to strut her stuff a bit more.

I worked hard to capture that blue exactly the way I saw it. Thanks.

I like #1, 5 or 6 and 7.

Bit "much of the same" though...
