Apr 06, 2010 16:20 | #4 Thanks a lot for the cue, as said it's a snapshot, taken handheld. I try to put the speed very low at around 1/10 to 1/30 (thanks the IS on the 24-105) for a more creamy water. I would love to experiment with filter and take time to make nice landscape, around our land there is lots of wonderfull place to photography 1DMK4, T6s, 100-400mmL IS II, 16-35mm f4, 100mm macro

And if you hand held it - getting the water to look so smooth - your way steadier than I am. They all look more like photographs than snap shots. And your lucky to have land like that - can I trade you some sage brush for some of those trees ? Have you hugged your pet today

Apr 06, 2010 17:37 | #6 Thanks a lot, for the second shot I push to f22 to achieve 1/13sec. The IS help a lot for handheld especialy at this speed. Wich one you want to trade: maple tree, grey pine, cherry. The grey pine are around 60-80ft high, but the maple are very high in the montain. 1DMK4, T6s, 100-400mmL IS II, 16-35mm f4, 100mm macro

I have little experience with filters so I just try and time the lighting for early morning, late evening. That way I can get slow SS and blur out the water.
