I've upgraded from the Canon 50D to the Canon 7D as my secondary body for weddings. It hasn't been put to the test yet until this past weekend.

After shooting a little over 500 photos with it, I had about 3 photos that came out like the one attached in the photo.

This was shot with the Canon 7D w/ 580EX II Flash Mounted, Canon EF 70-200 f/2.8L IS USM, and the original OEM battery. The memory card is a Kingston Elite Pro 32 GB.

Anyone else experiencing this issue?

I'd call the Kingston Card suspect. Grab a Sandisk and see what you get.

You're right, this particular photo was with my 5D (my primary camera) on a new Kingston 32GB CF card. It may be the CF after all. I should pay more attention to details.

Did you swap the CF card from one camera to another, it's probably safer to format the card in the camera its going to be used in.

If you're using Firefox you need to install the Exif viewer add-on to check.

when using CF cards between bodies it is best to format them in the body you are using them prior to shooting.
