Salutations everyone,

I joined here back in late '07 and left a year later -- selling all of my camera gear and thinking I'd never pick up a camera again because it reminded me of ex-girlfriend (who had committed suicide while stationed at Cherry Point in August '08). Roughly six months later, I found myself wanting to capture things through my eye again and resurrected my passion for rangefinder photography and purchased an Epson R-D1s.

Safe to say, everything that happened from the moment I received this camera has led me back here -- embracing the dRF world and now...once again, the dSLR world.

My mindset on photography has changed in a rather positive and optimistic way since I parted from POTN two years ago. I can't say that the mood of my captures is always so, but hey, that's not the point.

I just wanted to say I'm back and that still "I love you guys". I see a lot of new faces here and familiar ones alike.

It's good to be home (and no, I never went Nikonian on my fellow Canonites). :p

Thanks Skip, although now I've been reminded as to why I had to stray away from POTN when photography was a sore spot for me.

This place engulfs me, hahaha.

Welcome back, Ravi. I'm very sorry to hear about your girlfriend. It takes a while to get back on an even keel after a hit like that. We look forward to seeing more of you.

I'm not short. I'm concentrated awesome!

Thank you for both for your respects. I am in a much more stable state of mind now and I honestly there are only so many things that could make me happier (and all of those things are a matter of time and patience is one thing I certainly have).

Since I have been gone for such an extensive time, things have changed and so has my business direction with photography. I will be submitting a post to the 'name change' thread rather consuming more space here but to make things short, the name of saiminyaku ceased being relevant when I left here and is no longer applicable to my current my marketing efforts. I guess I didn't keep it short did I?

It's good to be home.

Wow! What a story! It just goes to illustrate the incredible, international diversity that is POTN and the dramatic, untold stories of its members.

I'm glad to hear you made it thru the dark times, my friend. Welcome back to POTN. Welcome back to life.

Thank you kindly CannedHeat and Madhu. I appreciate the warm welcome and frankly don't know how I managed as long as I did without checking up on things at POTN after being able to pick a camera again.

It feels good to be alive in the way I am again. Not simply existing, but truly living once again. :)
