First time taking concert pics. What can I do better? These were taken at a softball field at about 9:30 pm. Canon 20D.....70-200mm L f2.8 wide open.

Well, you could come by and reinvigorate our Event Photography Q&A over at https://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=81761 ... as for your images, I would suggest trying to get the whole instrument into the first two, the third one doesn't really have a focus, and the last one seems quite excellent to me.

Thanks tons for your comments Dwight. I know that you totally know what your talking about, your work is AWESOME!! I do have a couple questions for you though. 1. I didn't see a thread for events, so I thought that this was the correct area for this, so how do I get there? and 2. you said the 3rd one........no focus point. Meaning.....subject wise or focal wise? I was trying to take a picture of the group with the crowd blurred out in front of them. Is that a bad thing?

Jeff
