You should be able to do a CS4 to CS5 upgrade.

Wonder if CS5 will be available for college students at a discounted price like CS?

Adobe has been fairly consistent on how they apply discounts and the levels they charge for all upgrades. I don't see them changing this any time soon as it appears to have served them well in recent years.

I just stopped by my bookstore last week, and was told that, indeed, Adobe would offer CS5 at a discount through the bookstore again. However.....

I was also told that if I purchased CS4 between now and July 11th, I would be able to upgrade to CS5 for free; that, and CS5 was certain to be more expensive out of the gate (which everyone saw coming!!).
