Got free tickets to Long Beach Grand Prix :) Me and my buddies are bringing a bunch of gear, but I've never shot a race before and was wondering if there are any helpful tips or maybe some links to some threads on the subject already that you guys could throw my way to make my trip that much more successful?

good rule of thumb for panning shots is 1/speed of vehicle...so if the car is going 100mph, 1/100 should give you a nice shutter speed for panning shots.

enjoy the race!
