I do believe that if she can do that, then I can run a measly 5k by Labor Day! She ran her first ever marathon in 2009! With that, I am lacing up my choos and will see how far I go today ![]() Valerie Bertinelli is 50?!! Boy, do I feel old... Harm wrote in post #10038427 Thanks guys. Belmondo wrote in post #10038744 Worry, worry. What to do. When we went to Oregon last year, we both took our camera gear in a Tamrac Adventure 10 backpack. In addition I carried a Think Tank Urban Disguise 50 bag with some additional lenses in it. Both bags have laptop space and this year I have a netbook which will lighten the load just that much more. I'm thinking I might leave the 100-400 at home this year because it didn't get used until the last day and that was by Heather. I left the tripod at home and didn't miss it at all. gjl711 wrote in post #10040383 Sometimes real life is more entertaining than the best comedians. I just returned from Menard's, our hardware store and just have to share. I was over by the paint department and this guy was just ranting at the poor sales kid. Seems he bought some camouflage paint, sprayed his truck and was mightily upset that it was all one color and not camouflaged. The poor sales kid was trying to explain that there is a set of paints and used together would give you the camo effect, but he was not having any of it. He kept screaming at the kid that the can says camouflage paint and gosh darn it, he expected it to come out camo. Scary; they vote and they breed... short5 wrote in post #10040431 Hahaha! I just use two backpacks, one with most of the camera gear I bring, and the other with the laptop and maybe a lens or two. It may not sway his thinking at all, but at least the clerk gets to at least know someone is on his side. When I worked out of town a lot years ago, one guy that sometimes worked with us was such a pain in the ass to go out to eat with. He complained all the time if something was not just perfect to him, whether it was the service, the food, or even the chair he sat in. We all refused to go out with him since he would not curb this stupid behaviour. It was downright embarrassing for us, let alone how the poor servers felt. puddlepirate44 wrote in post #10040408 Jim: How goes the Palsy?
