My older brother came to the event tonight. That's out of character for him. I've seen him more in the last 3 weeks than I have in the whole last year. (and we live in the same town). Anyway.. He said that before tonight, he thought I was whacked (LOL!) and crazy. That I was some sort of animal nut, and that I needed to have my head examined for having so many dogs at my house. He said that after being there tonight, and seeing what it's all about, and seeing what we do, that he 'gets it' now. And he started crying.  It was a really great moment for the two of us. He hugged me, and said he was proud of me. I don't think he's ever EVER uttered those words before. EVER.
